Has your '97-'99 Turbo Diesel developed a leak at either the top of the fuel filter housing or at the O-ring area of the fuel heater due to years of use and material fatigue?
Have you tried to source a replacement kit from Chrysler of Cummins only to find it is no longer available or ridiculously priced?
Here is a cost-effective solution: use a replacement filter head and corresponding filter/water separator from the '94 to '96 vintage truck.
- Filter head from '94-'96 truck
- FS1253 fuel filter
- 3831852 water-in-fuel sensor
To make the water-in-fuel sensor operative you simply cut and splice into the existing wire leads to the sensor.
NOTE: This kit does not have provisions for the fuel heater unit.
