Description

The 14mm Femco Drain Valve for your '14-'22 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel helps drain the engine oil in several ways.

  • It permanently replaces the drain plug . . . no more leaking drain plug seals/washers
  • The factory valve is replaced, eliminating the opportunity for fracture
  • Simplifies oil changes
The patented drain tube screws into the oil valve. As you screw in the drain tube assembly, it pushes up a rubber sealed/spring loaded drain valve. Drain the oil, remove the drain tube (thus resealing the drain valve), reinstall the rubber sealed drain cap, and you're finished.

NOTE: The Femco oil drain valve will not work without the drain tube. Please add it to your order if you do not already have one.

EZ Change - No Drips/Spils
Jul 31, 2016  |  By Steve
At last oil change in Sep 2015, installed the EZ Change Plug. Today, 7/31/16, was able to use the EZ Oil Change Tube and did so without spilling one drop of oil. This was the easiest and cleanest oil change for 10.5 quarts ! Great design. Strongly recommended.

Great product.

20 FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE ONLY!!!! NOT 40 FOOT POUNDS. This is a great product and works perfect. On the about this product tab it indicates 40lbs torque. On the container the drain plug comes in it says 20lbs. My toddler dumped the parts on the table in a nice pile and ran off with the container so I looked to the website for the torque spec. The threads began to strip around 35lbs where I stopped. As a mechanic I recommend only installing this drain plug if you have a torque wrench, if not borrow one from AutoZone.
Owner Response:We are sorry that you were a victim of copy and paste. This has been removed from the description and will be updated to reflect the correct torque value for each of the different size drain plugs. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Excellent-Works with Jeep EcoDiesel

I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk EcoDiesel. Easily installed this during my last oil change. It's compatible with the Jeep oil pan, and when installed it sits above the skid plate, so no need to worry about it protruding and getting snapped off on the trail. I highly recommend this set up for splatter-free oil changes.

Leaked after 2nd oil change
Apr 7, 2024  |  By Matt Seberger
Lasted 2 oil changes and then the interior plunger started to leak. A drop or so a day but enough to remove it. 3rd gen Eco and the tube is odd to get started also. Fumoto or a flexible funnel are a better option
Owner Response:Geno's Garage has sold this drain plug for over 20 years and this is very uncommon. Many of us at Geno's have used this drain plug on our own vehicles without issue. Please contact us if there are any problems with this product or anything that we offer. Thank you for your review..
