- About This Product
DescriptionFor a measure of efficiency/throttle response, we've had members write in with stories about removing the muffler. We've also heard our share of stories about outrageous invoices from the muffler shops. What is the do-it-yourselfer to do? Try a muffler elimination (ME) kit from Geno's Garage.
With a custom bend and pipe clamp, the kit is designed to replace the existing Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel muffler assembly. The ME kit is made from aluminized steel like the factory exhaust system.
The exhaust noise increase is 5 - 8 dba higher than the stock muffler equipped truck. If this is a concern, local noise ordinances should be researched before installation.
ME Kit includes exhaust clamp and installation instructions.
NOTE: Does not replace resonator.

Very simple installation

The instructions were very straightforward. Cut off the muffler, slip this pipe on and clamp it down. Make sure you don't have any leaks from the slits at either end of the pipe. It'll be easy to discover any leaks because there'll be soot all around where it's leaking.

Very pleased. Installed at same time with a BHAF on my '01 and between the two nice sound and noticeable increase in fuel economy. Not really much louder in the cab which is nice. My existing 4in clamp was welded to the pipe so I had improvise on the installation, but would definitely recommend.

Arrived on time Only had one clamp my 4inch clamp was welded to muffler so I had to buy a new one other then that I am very satisfied with kit
Owner Response:It is odd that the clamp was welded to the muffler. This is not how the trucks typically leave the factory. We hope that sourcing the clamp was not too much trouble.
