Description

Full-size '03-'08 Dodge Ram trucks have a type of steering coupler that can show signs of wear in as little as 4500 miles, depending on how the truck is used. This wear, which causes play in the truck's steering, is even more noticeable if your truck is used for plowing, towing or if oversized tires have been installed. Replacing the worn steering shaft with another OEM shaft only gives you a temporary fix.

Borgeson has replacement steering shaft assemblies with precision needle bearing u-joints available for '79 to '08 full-size Dodge trucks.

These steering shafts are replacements for the underhood intermediate shaft. Fits trucks with splined steering shaft only.

This will not work on cab & chassis trucks.

Great product! I had been chasing a clunk for about a year, replacing everything from sway bar end links, bushings, shocks, bushings. You name it, Finally got around to putting this shaft in my 06 2500 and wow did it make a difference. The entire steering is much tighter now. Just follow the simple instructions included in the box and go for a test drive. Let the product speak for itself. Thats for the great products as always guys.

Geno's had the part in stock, I ordered online & received it in a couple days. Had it installed & the mechanic said it was made better than the stock part. He had no trouble installing.

I have sway and NO body has been able to identified how to correct the problem. I think I found it. Replacing the steering shaft. Now you are saying that is a temporary fix? Why? I tow a 5th wheel.
Owner Response:The description on our website is referring to steering shaft that came on the truck from the factory or replacing your current steering shaft with another OEM factory steering shaft. The Borgeson steering shaft that we sell is a heavy duty aftermarket option that will last longer than a OEM factory steering shaft. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
