- About This Product
DescriptionThese steering shafts are replacements for the underhood intermediate shaft.
Full-size Dodge Ram pickups have a type of steering coupler that can show signs of wear in as little as 4500 miles, depending on how the truck is used. This wear, which causes play in the truck's steering, is even more noticeable if your truck is used for plowing, towing or if oversized tires have been installed.
Replacing the worn steering shaft with another OEM shaft only gives you a temporary fix. Borgeson has replacement steering shaft assemblies with precision needle bearing u-joints available for '79 to '19 full-size Dodge trucks.

Great stock replacement

I was planning on leveling my truck after a failed ball joint and a loose front u joint I replaced the ball joints with EMF, installed a Thuren Fab leveling kit and track bar. With the 35 inch tires The wander started small and at 140k miles i felt like i was driving an old ford truck. My wife wouldnt drive it. I was on the fence between another stock steering shaft or borgesen. I ordered the Borgeson shaft, it was an easy install and now my steering is tight and the truck goes straight down the road with no problems. I highly recommend their shaft. Comes with a good warranty and gets rid of the slop.
