Description
Genuine Mopar replacement battery termperature sensor for 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 2500 & 3500 trucks with either 5.9L or 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engines, and 2008-2010 Ram Cummins 4500 & 5500 trucks.
The battery temperature sensor is located underneath the battery and if it fails, it is usually because of battery leakage onto the sensor. You'll get a check engine light if this happens. Get this replacement to fix the problem.
When diagnosing a Ram Cummins truck with a P0514 fault code, be aware that replacing the Battery Temperature Sensor will not always correct this.
Software for 2006 applications is now available - see TSB 18-005-06 Rev. B. Software to correct 2005 and older applications is found on TSB 18-022-06.
