- About This Product
DescriptionIs your plastic fuel filter canister cap showing the signs of aging? You know, the rounded-off shoulders of the 28mm hex head (that's right it is metric not 1-1/8" SAE). Those rounded edges make it hard to remove the cap. We've also seen the caps over-torqued and cracked.
Here is a stylish and functional solution from the folks at Geno's Garage. A billet aluminum fuel cap that fits the 2010 and newer Ram 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engines.
Get yours today and make removing the cap easy.

I was out of service without this part and the team jumped through hoops to get me my parts. Excellent fit and functionality.
Works great but it's a bit pricy for a replacement cap

This cap works great. I had previously striped the stock cap by using a 1 1/8 socket instead of the 28mm. I'm still not sure why it was so tight. Anyway even though it was more than I wanted I went ahead with the billet cap. It worked perfectly and I'm sure my next filter change will be easy. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is price.

This is an awesome replacement for the plastic stock cap that can crack and strip when removing.

Great cap the only grip is that there is no groove for the o-ring.

This cover is great, you can't miss where the filter is now when looking in the engine bay! But I did have to move my tranny cooling lines so it didn't rub.

Much easier to put on and I can only imagine it will be easier to take off, and it looks good.
Should have bought as a precautionary measure

I have not purchased this, but wish I had. After following the dealer instructions that the "nut" was 1&1/8", it became stripped on the second filter replacement--both were torqued to the specified newton/meter . Dealership wholesale: $87, after 15minutes of debating, got retail at $70. Would have rather purchased this once, vice the drive (35 miles each way) and haggle with the dealership.
