Door Reinforcement Kit for First Generation Dodge Trucks

We have found that this door reinforcement kit by New Era Diesel was thoughtfully designed for our First Generation restorations. It is made for 1989-1993 Dodge trucks with power windows.

Manufacturer's Description:

Door panel flex is a noticeable issue for power window equipped trucks from the late 80s-1993. Sometimes, the door flexes bad enough to pop the door panel clips! The flex is seen when a window is powered up to close and seats into the door frame. We always see cracks around the interior door handle area of the steel door shell. If your doors already have cracks, this eliminates the need to perform any welding. A total of 5 mounting bolts (supplied) are used for each side of the truck and the bar will also share the two existing interior handle fasteners.

This kit is meant to do both sides and requires no welding. You will be required to drill a couple holes. Mounting hardware is included. An installation video is available of the installation process to aid in understanding how they mount.

The bar is made from 1/8" stainless steel which makes for a rigid assembly without taking up a ton of space.

Note: This product is by no means an aid in vehicle safety. You should not expect your vehicle to perform any better from impact by adding these bars.
