- About This Product
DescriptionOne of the steering problems we found on our Ram Turbo Diesel trucks is that the little bushing on the intermediate steering shaft can wear allowing movement within the shaft.
An inexpensive fix to this problem is a bushing that can be pressed into the collar.
This bushing is machined out of aluminum and have a tapered end to allow for ease of installation. The whole process takes about 5 minutes to install, is extremely inexpensive and works wonders for your steering column.
Bushings sold as a pair.
These are included with each set of EMF ball joints for the 2003 and newer Ram trucks.
Before ordering, please inspect your intermediate steering shaft to make sure it has this type of steering shaft collar(shown in the photo) and that the hole should measure 0.6" diameter.

'07 Ram 2500 diesel. Had 4+" of play in the wheel no matter the speed. Rebuilt the front end, still had a good 2+" of play. Saw EMF's video on the bushings and their solution to the fail-prone OEM intermediate shaft design. Simple, awesome solution to an annoying problem. I don't take time to review anything, almost ever. Enough said.

These bushings work great, I was having a slight rattle in my steering wheel that was driving me nuts. Nothing wrong with my intermediate steering shift, the bushings fixed the problem immediately.I have a 2012 Ram 2500 diesel.
