Description

If you have followed the story of the OEM fuel transfer pump for truck model years '98.5-'02, you know that the original and subsequent replacement parts from Dodge, Cummins and other suppliers that are, at best, marginal. Add to this dilemma the fact that your expensive VP-44 fuel injection pump needs fuel from the transfer pump for cooling and you can understand that selling and choosing a reliable fuel transfer pump is very important.

The folks at FASS offer a complete line of high-performance fuel transfer pumps and fuel filter kits. The FASS engineers realized that some customers did not need the full benefits of the more expensive FASS high-performance systems, not to mention the added installation time that is required. In the fall of 2008, they introduced a direct replacement fuel transfer pump for '98.5-'02 truck owners.

The Dodge Replacement Pump (DRP) gives you the dependability of a FASS product without the cost of a complete system. Additional benefits: flow is increased by 33%, installation can be accomplished in less than 30 minutes, and a four-year warranty.

The DRP is an aftermarket, replacement, lift-pump that mounts in the stock pump location. It utilizes the factory wiring harness for power. You will need to change the stock steel fuel line from the pump to the filter housing with the rubber fuel line and fittings that are included in the kit.

NOTE: The DRP is designed as a stock replacement pump.

NOTE: The DRP is not compatible with waste vegetable oil (WVO) or BioDiesel fuels.

WARRANTY INFORMATION: For the 4 year warranty to be in force, please fill out the "PRODUCT REGISTRATION FORM" included with your order, attach a copy of the sales receipt, and return this information directly to the manufacturer. FASS requires this information be returned within 30 days of the purchase, or the warranty will not be valid.

If you mount in the stock position on the engine you may find that the wires to unit will vibrate enough to disconnect inside the insulation. I had to remount on the frame after repairing the wires. Great units better than stock

Works great. I installed this on a 98.5 and used the Vulcan Relocation Kit with it. Mounted it on the frame under cab and no more problems!

Great Pump

Best replacement fuel pump on the market. I use it with the Vulcan relocate kit from Geno's on all my trucks.

Mine holds 17-19 psi idle, cruising around town it'll be 15-16 psi and up to highway speeds it'll be 13-14 psi. Great pump for anyone looking for a stock replacement. I also have the 1/2" line from the filter to VP44. I am running an old Edge EZ timing box as well, pump works great. Only time will tell. I would recommend it.

Got myself a second 1999 Dodge with a Cummins so I needed a lift pump. For me its easy after making up my mind on what I want or need., If Geno's has it then so will I

Fast Geno's service. This was the cure to an ailing 01 Ram 2500 that just had a failed HP injector pump. New HP, new Fass to replace weak factory Carter pump and away she goes!

The Fass pump is performing as advertised. The pump installation instructions are in need of improvement as the installation instructions of the supplied Wix filter was not complete or easy to follow. My mechanic had to call you to get the "other" instructions on how to add the filter in-line as the fuel line from the tank was not as described to him when he called. It is installed now and working fine. Maybe the instructions issue should be brought up to FASS and not you.

I ordered the DRP 02 fuel pump for my truck. Very fast delivery and the best twenty minutes of my time to install it. I have the best fuel presser since I bought the truck. I can run down the highway at 80mph pulling 10 lbs of boost and still have a fuel presser of 16. Great product, and great people to work with.

Perfect Stock Replacement

I have a 2001 @ 121k that ive only put a couple thousand miles on since owning it for a year. I noticed the truck had a hard time moving, almost dead pedal. Reset the APPS, no luck. Checked fuel pressure coming out of stock lift pump, none! I upgraded to 1/2" lines all the way to the VP, and put the DRP closer to the actual tank mounted off the frame. Now that im upgrading I kinda wish I went with their higher flow pumps but it worked as expected.

The mandatory inline filter provided in the FASS kit, is 1/4"! Glad I checked before I cut the steel line.
