180 t stat
Mar 15, 2017  |  By Jason McBride
My 180 degree t stat is working great. Runs at 185 degrees while on the highways. The stock t stat that came out was a 190 from my 2015 ram 2500 6.7

works

installs exactly as you'd expect. i've yet to see temps get over 185-187 since install. we're not in proper summer "OMG it's hot" weather yet, but i'm not anticipating problems. longevity remains to be seen but for the price you'd be hard-pressed to beat this thing with a stick.

Perfect Cummins Thermostat
Feb 5, 2020  |  By Jeff Hendrick
After a new Mopar / Cummins 190 degree F. OEM thermostat stuck partially open after 3 months, the truck would only get up to 168 - 170 deg. F. coolant temperature in January 2020 Ohio weather. Replacing the 190 stat with a 180 stat produced consistent coolant temps of 179 - 181, engine oil temp of 178 - 183, and Aisin AS69RC lower trans. temps of 163 F. from 168 f. Truck runs great, and with projected lower summer towing temps, a great upgrade all the way around. Thanks, Geno's Garage!

keeping it cool

quick change out from stock. the truck maintains low to mid 180s while driving on highway. one thing i noticed while sitting in traffic and with air off was the temp got up to 206. But once i turned on the a/c, it cooled to 183. The stock 190 thermostat would maintain a temp of 199-201 unless driving 80+mpg for extended time. I've only had the 180 thermostat in the truck for maybe 1-2k miles.
