Description

The fuel transfer pump in '94-'98 12-valve Dodge Cummins trucks wears out over time and will affect the truck's performance.

If your truck is difficult to start in the morning, the idle rpm is slowly getting lower or has lost its pep, it may be time for a new fuel transfer pump. You can see if this is the problem by running a fuel pressure test.

NOTE: For easy installation, we include two mounting gaskets along with two studs and nuts to replace the mounting bolts with this fuel transfer pump.

1995 12V Lift Pump

I like that all of the products I receive from Geno's Garage come with tech tips and that you can even review them before you buy the part just so you know if you really want to attempt the job. I was alittle disappointed to see that my genuine Cummins pump was made in China, but oh well...I would like to offer an alternative installation approach - instead of installing from the top, install from the side. Jack up the left front corner of the truck frame to get it nice and high, take off the wheel and remove the plastic wheel well liner - now you have a straight shot at the pump and heater - it also helps to remove the diesel fuel filter at this time - easy money now - the bolts that hold the filter on are 10MM - the rest is easy. Good luck & keep up the good work Geno's.

Great price, great service

Solved my problem of difficult and finally no start. Price was better than I could find anywhere local, and Geno's service can't be beat. Greatly appreciate the studs they included for easier replacement, plus the installation guide. Replacement is messy and takes a while because the rear fuel line and mounting bolt are hard to get to. One of those jobs that might take 10 minutes if you could just get clear access to it.

Thank you! Our Cummins Ram is running better than ever. The studs that come with the lift pump are awesome. Much easier than trying to align with the original bolts. I'm pretty sure I replaced the original 25 year old one and the new one will last another 25.
