Description
Starting in 2013 Ram started deleting fuel caps for the Ram 2500/3500 diesel trucks and now have done the same to the 2019 Ram 1500 gas trucks as well. Similar to our diesel locking fuel caps, this red locking fuel filler dust cap is for the gasoline engine '19-'24 Ram 1500 (DT BODY) Series.Includes 1 key.
NOTE: Does not fit TRX model trucks.
NOTE: Does not fit '19-'20 Ram 1500 Classic trucks.

I searched in vain to try and find a Mopar locking gas cap for my 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie. Finally found this one from Geno. It is AWESOME !!! Thank You for producing this cap. you are making America Great !

Glad you make this locking cap because no one else makes one.
Only problem is that it is conceived to be installed from the bottom but the rubber around the fuel neck is so close that it makes it impossible to install from the bottom...
You need to completely remove screw and install from the top and rotate 180 and reinstall screw.
Because of the design you cannot just install it upside down as it will not lock...
Cap should have been designed to be installed from the top

I ordered this locking fuel cap for my truck and saw after the fact that the description states it will NOT fit TRX model trucks. This is not accurate. I was able to easily fit it on my TRX and lock it no problem. I even tried pulling and twisting it off in the locked position and it stays in place. The description needs to be changed. This item does fit the TRX.
Owner Response:Thank you for letting us know this. We have tried this on a TRX truck that came to visit us about a year ago. This cap did not fit properly on the TRX we tried it on.
