Description

This Dayco heavy-duty serpentine belt for your 6.7L Ram Cummins Turbo Diesel truck is designed to be long wearing with greater load-carrying capacity for heavy service applications.
Made for Ram Cummins Turbo Diesel 2500/3500/4500/5500 trucks that have air-conditioning and single alternator.

With this belt you get:

  • Special belt constructions eliminate belt noise, reduce tension loss and solve problem drive applications.
  • Last 50%-60% longer than value line belts.
  • Extra heavy-duty construction resists cracking and wear.
  • Precision ground to assure optimum belt-to-pulley fit.
  • Special formation process for precise dimensional control.
  • Reinforced with stretch-resistant, thermally active polyester tensile members.
  • Meets or exceeds SAE J1459 specifications.
You should check the serpentine belt at every oil change for cracks and chunks missing out of it and general wear. If you see these, it is time to replace the belt.

While the belt is off for replacement, give the belt tensioner pulley a spin and listen for bearing noises. A squealing belt can be a sign that the belt tensioner is failing and causing belt misalignment.

I have used many dayco products on many different vehicles and I tend to use them exclusively since they are an OE supplier to Cummins but I would not recommend their belts on the 19+ ram trucks. My 22 has 100k miles on it so I decided to replace the original Mopar belt for preventative maintenance. This belt will slip off of the fan hub pulley if it gets any amount of water on it. The first time I experienced this was about 1k miles after install after washing my truck. The next 2 times were while driving in the rain. It will not tolerate any water. I put the original Mopar belt back on and can pour water on it and nothing happens. Also this belt fits extremely tight, if it were 1mm shorter it would not fit. I may have just gotten a defective one but it has turned my away from using dayco belts from now on. If your looking at this I would recommend going with either a Mopar or Gates.
