Description
The P7100 pump on the '94-'98 Dodge/Cummins Turbo Diesel 12-valve engine utilizes a 12-volt electric fuel shutoff solenoid that, over time, may stop functioning. Don't let it leave you stranded - get a replacement solenoid to keep on hand in case you ever run into trouble.Mounting bracket and fuel shutoff relay included with this solenoid.
If your '94-'98 Dodge Turbo Diesel suddenly fails to start and you've checked the usual suspects such as enough fuel in the tank, a clogged fuel filter and that all of the contacts from the battery and starter are clean, it could be a problem with the fuel solenoid.

I bought this for a customer's truck. Cheaper than the dealer, Cummins South, or parts store .However, even when buying based on price, I felt like I could truck the quality of the aftermarket part because it came from Geno's. Now if they would stop charging for shipping based on price we would really have something.

As usual, Geno's gave me a great price and fast delivery but this solenoid is smaller than my OEM solenoid so I had to change out the bracket too, which was a pain because the new bracket was a different design which did fit all that well - also, the bolt head were a different size, so I had to use a different set of sockets as well...

Use your stock brackets , just swap solenoids and be done with it . Install would have been a snap if i didn't waste time swapping brackets . The stocks are the same as what they send you .

This is a very well built, much beefier than oem product that is a perfect replacement for a tired or burnt up one. Its install is easy and comes with more then enough hardware to replace everything that you touched along the process.

This unit is the older, smaller core with the 2" spacing between the solenoid mounting bolts. The kit includes a mounting bracket and hardware - instead of a regular bolt for the third and lowest, hardest-to-reach fastener, an allen-head bolt needing a 5mm bit/wrench is used - a very poor choice. As delivered, this unit only works if you replace the fuel shutoff lever with the one in the kit - instead of the rod end on the genuine Cummins FSS, this uses a block that does not fit over the pin on the OE fuel control lever. And the hole in the block isn't centered... Its a lot cheaper than the genuine Cummins unit - it's harder to work with to install

This solenoid cuts off faster than my ex girlfriend. When you want the fuel shut off instantly, you need to be using the shut off solenoid from Geno's Garage.
