wheelskin

Looked good for a month or two. Then wore out. This leather is not the right kind for a steering wheel.
Owner Response:We are sending you a replacement Wheelskin and hope that the one you received was not manufactured correctly. Please let us know if there are any other problems. Thank you for your review.

Good

I like the wheelskin cover, it is good quality, looks good, and looks like it may last a long time. I may give it a higher rating after I've had it longer.

Great product!

Definitely love my new wheelskin. You can definitely feel the quality and smell the genuine leather as soon as you open the package. Install is fairly easy. It's just monotonous and tedious but it's definitely worth it. I installed it a couple weeks ago and it still looks and feels great. And as always I am very pleased with Geno's top notch customer service, and the quality products they supply for us Cummins guys!

I am so far very pleased with the WheelSkins produce for my 2001 Ram. with 299,000 miles the factory leather wheel was starting to get a little worn. I got the WheelSkins and an extra lacing kit so that I could do a baseball stitch rather than the standard lacing. Love the feel!!

Outstanding, creates a thicker fuller wheel feel. Takes a while but worth it.

Excellent!

Fantastic product. It is time consuming to install but it is worth it. In the instructions it says to pull it tight and you have to pull it really tight so the edges touch. Feels a lot better than the factory wheel.

Unrealistic Expectations
Jun 5, 2018  |  By Jim Avey
The gray color of the wheelskin was much lighter than the color of my interior which has some brown tones in the gray, I think the color is actually called taupe - but not positive about that. Anyway - the gray color stands out in a negative way, and doesn't cover the wheel where the spokes are located. It is glaringly not a color match when placed against the rest of the wheel. I unrealistically expected extra material where the spokes of the wheel were so the new skins would cover the old. And it doesn't. It's nice to have my old sunburned parts of the wheel covered but it is a far cry from a complete cover of the wheel and what one reviewer called "like having a new wheel". In my case it is an obvious mismatched wheel cover and I am still weighing the benefits of the absence of the sunburned spots versus the way the rest of the wheel looks a little shabby against the bright gray of the wheelskin. I may have to chalk this purchase up as a learning experience and remove it. The solution for me may beto go junkyard crawling for a new-old wheel.

Peeling

Started peeling and flaking after a couple months of light use. Ended up removing and throwing away. Not a quality product
Owner Response:The manufacture has started putting notes on the packaging about hand sanitizer causing the leather to deteriorate causing damage to the finish. We have reached out to this customer offering a replacement.

Excellent value and product

I purchased mine in about 2009... Yes 2009. It was an easy install and looked great. I had approximately 160k on the truck when I put the wheel cover on. I now have 492k on the truck and I got my first hole on the top. I wonder if it's warranted lol. I hope the one I'm about to buy is as good if not better than the first one.
